Working on the three pillars …

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

Let me know what the pillars are, when you are done😉

The Uncensored Mind's avatar

I will! Mental health / bipolar / healing is one …for sure.

Insightful article.

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

Valentina, what was the most useful tip for you? Thanks for reading!

Ok! I got it, coach! And if feels so good to have a sense of directions. I have a lot to work with aswell, as in forever inspiration so I won’t feel like I’m missing out too much : 1. Mental health & inner work 2. Modern dating & relationship 3. Confidence lifehacks with a dash of sass.

Not sure number three is a pillar. What’s your take?

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

Sounds good!

Considering the first two pillars I think that the third one could be something wider like Building confidence (lifehacks can be part of it).

And then there will be a great connection between all three: Mental health & inner work -> Building Confidence -> Modern dating & relationship. But it's up to you:)

This is SO amazingly helpful and eye opening! Are you going to monetize at some point? If so, I really hope you keep some of your content free for those of us who are broke but still rely on your expertise. 😅

I am glad you found it helpful. Don't worry, I will keep some part of my content free. Thanks for reading!

This is very helpful! I think I’m in the void already. I’m not quite sure yet as I only noticed it today but I am excited to try your tips. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Thank you so much! So far, all of what you have shared is working. It's slow but it's definitely better than not working at all. I didn't think you'd reply as I saw you have a lot of subscribers. Anyway, I binged read your articles. It's what I read before sleep. Looking forward to read more!

I try to reply to every comment to my posts because I know that it’s important for a person who wrote it. Thank you for your warm words! I hope my writing will help you write and grow;)

Thank you for this. I’m in that slightly awkward beginner stage where the only people reading me are the ones who already know me, so the feedback comes privately… and the Substack stats look quietly depressing 😄

This post is a good reality check though. The Notes part especially makes me think: “ok, stop waiting to be discovered and start showing up.” I really want to grow beyond my own circle, and this gave me a much clearer path.

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

Inga, I know what you are talking about.

Try to engage with Substack Notes of writers from other categories (not your primary/secondary categories).

I am glad you found this article useful. Thanks for reading!

Terry Kua's avatar

Hi Maxim, thanks for the posts. I hope that this will help me gain more audience into the stories of Warmth.

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

Hi, you are welcome! I am glad you found it useful. What is the biggest challenge you face on Substack today?

Terry Kua's avatar

Getting mass of audiences to read my notes.

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

I see. Then focus on posting 3 types of Substack Notes (post them daily or as often as you can):

1. Community notes that focus on the Substack community and connection with others.

2. Useful notes that focus on providing solutions to some problems or your helpful ideas/advice about something.

3. Progress notes, here you should include some personal achievements, wins, and struggles that you overcame.

I’m on my first week and still writing into the void…can’t get worse than that

Fatima Backlund Asal's avatar

You’re sweet! Thank u!!

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

You are welcome:)

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

You have 11 subscribers, not bad for the first week:)

Post more Notes that provide some value to the reader (just text, 3-5 lines without pictures).

You can try one of my note templates:

Problem -> Cause -> Tip -> Action

Line 1: State a problem the reader is facing.

Line 2: Identify why it’s happening.

Line 3: Give a specific tip to fix it.

Line 4: End with a clear action step.

Example:

No one reads your story.

Your headline is weak.

Promise a result in your headline.

Make it stronger.

I haven't heard the trick about going to another category and engaging with notes there. Thanks for that tip! I'm in month 2 on substack!

Maxim Spasskiy's avatar

You are welcome! Your progress is strong in the second month.

What is your biggest challenge for Substack today?
