Do You Know What The Foundation of Writing Success Is?
Let me share it with you.
I struggled to grow online because I lacked the foundation for writing success.
Many writers have problems with growing online because they know nothing about the foundation they need to succeed.
Do you want to know more about it?
Or do you prefer to keep struggling as I did?
I almost quit writing after 8 months because I didn’t see any progress.
My audience grew at a ridiculously low pace, even a mountain could outgrow it.
My writing skills stagnated instead of improving.
I was frustrated with my results.
The Terrible Beginning
My writing career started in 2023 and almost finished this year too.
When I began to write on Medium, I was full of high hopes for fast growth and quick wins. I wrote from time to time and published 1-2 articles per month alongside my 9-5 job. I thought it was enough to become a successful online writer.
But it wasn’t.
It took me 6 months to get my first 100 followers on Medium. 6 long, lonely months of writing in the void. And when I hit this number, nothing changed.
Nobody cared.
It was an early morning, January 2024. I was sitting at my laptop, and my Medium stats were on the screen.
My coffee went cold on the table while I was staring at the wall, not knowing what to do.
It seemed like writing was a waste of my time.
Was It?
But as I was thinking about it, my eyes landed on my half-marathon medal. It was the medal for my first half-marathon. The one I ran in 2016.
My thoughts moved to this half-marathon.
How I ran it.
How I trained for it.
And then one thought hit me like lightning.
When I started running, I couldn’t run even 5 km.
My first goal was to run a 10 km race. I signed up for it. And started training.
I had 6 months to prepare for it.
I ran from time to time. Some weeks I ran twice a week, some weeks I didn’t run at all. That’s how I trained for 10 km.
It was the most terrible race I’ve run.
I came to the finish line, breathing heavily, and my face was as red as a tomato. I thought my heart would jump out of my chest.
My wife looked at me and said, “You alright, dear? Maybe it’s better to stop running? Maybe it’s not for you?”
For one week after the race, I thought so too.
But then I decided that I want to keep running. And I signed up for my first half-marathon. I had 3 months to prepare for it.
I knew that if I trained for it the way I trained for the 10 km race, it might end badly for me.
I didn’t want to risk my life. I prepared a solid training plan and started my preparations. I trained consistently, running 4 times a week, every week for 3 months. I never missed a run. Even one.
My first half-marathon was amazing.
I run at a comfortable pace with a friend of mine. I didn’t care about people who outran me at the start. Anyway, we met half of them again somewhere in the middle of the race.
I came to the finish line, enjoying the run, and happy with this achievement.
What made all the difference in running?
Consistency.
Will It Help My Writing?
I decided to try it for my writing.
I started in January 2024 by writing 1 time per week. Then I gradually increased the number of times I wrote. I got to writing 5 times per week in 6 months.
Since then, I have never missed a single week.
My articles get up to 3,100 views and 2,200 reads per article. And I published my first book in June 2025.
Now, I have 5,000 followers across all platforms.
What made it possible?
Consistency.
You might argue that consistency alone is not enough to achieve the results.
True, but consistency is the foundation for everything else.
It’s the first thing you need to build if you are serious about achieving writing success.
Have a wonderful day!

P.S. Do you want to build your writing success foundation? Become a consistent writer? The system I used to go from 1 article a week to 5 will help you do exactly that.
